Born and raised in Chicago and a north shore suburb. My friends in high school called me the city girl because I was always going into the city to explore its many different neighborhoods, cultures, arts and food. I read about Japanese tea ceremony as a kid and I had to go learn from a master sense. My curiosity fueled my interests! I've always been passionate about reading and telling stories. In high school when my friends went off to summer camp I spent time participating in acting camps, cooking classes, art classes and a writing program at a local college. I was sponsored by my English teacher to attend the college program and this further fueled my desire to follow the writer's path; which I continued to do at Santa Barbara City College where I majored in English and at UCLA extension certificate program for television writing. I had several internships in L.A. working as a script reader and I presently judge scripts for a film festival.
Initially I got started as a writer through my love of reading and writing stories. I got my first computer when I was four years old and this opened up a whole new vehicle for me to express myself. You see, I didn't learn to speak until later than my peers and I had so much to say.! Once I got a computer I never looked back.
